About the Movement

Who can give?

To be a Giver, your organization must be a locally-owned Arizona business. Your commitment is to provide a gift, product, service, gift card, or experience to your chain of non-profit recipients (Do Gooders). The expected annual expense associated with being a Giver is $800 (or more, at your discretion).

Who is a Do Gooder?

A local, Arizona Do Gooder must be a current staff or volunteer member of a non-profit organization in Arizona. The intent is to highlight a talented non-profit employee through a random act of goodness. The Do Gooders must agree to the terms and conditions and will be required to continue the chain by paying-it-forward to a deserving member of a different non-profit.

Who started this thing?

A sub-group from Valley Leadership (a nine-month leadership program) who were tasked with addressing a community issue. We are focused on cultivating the connection between the Valley’s for-profit businesses and the non-profit community. Our end goal is to improve the perception of capitalism and introduce businesses to the critical work being done by non-profits.

Our Board

Valley Leadership is a nine-month leadership program based in Phoenix, Arizona. Each year, approximately 50 class members are selected for this leadership laboratory to address the most important issues shaping our communities today. As part of the leadership program, the 50 member class is spilt into smaller groups that are asked to tackle a community problem. Meet our group — the current board members of DoGooders Arizona!
